1. How much do translation services cost?
Cost for translation depends on the language into which the text is translated and on the amount of text. Cost for translation into English, Russian and German languages starts from 8 Eur for a page. One standard page consists of 1500 characters without spaces. Characters are letters, numbers, punctuation marks and symbols found in the text. The exact number of characters can be calculated using Microsoft Word program. You can send us the text you want to translate in any format and we will tell you the price without any additional taxes.
2. How long does it take to translate a text?
Period within which translation is done depends on the amount of the text and the complexity of the text. Usually a professional translator may translate up to 3-5 pages of the text per day. Personal documents are translated within 1-3 business hours.
3. How can I order translation?
Translation orders are taken by telephone, e-mail or you can bring it to our agency.
4. Who performs translations?
Translations are performed by professional and experienced translators who are selected strictly. A translator has higher education in philology and perfect knowledge of native and foreign language. He must also know his specialized area. If a client requests, translation into a foreign language may be performed by a translator to whom this language is native.
5. Are documents notarized?
Yes, we cooperate with several notary offices in Kaunas city and we can notarize your translations. In order to perform this service, we need the original of your document.
6. What documents can be notarized?
Notary certifies only official documents with date of issue, number, seal of issuing institution and signature of issuing officer. It is important to note that documents issued in a foreign country may bear an apostille. Apostille is a consular certificate that officially certifies the authenticity of a signature, position of a person who signed the document and, if necessary, identity of a seal or sign put in the document, corresponding to the example provided in Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Document, dated 05th October, 1961.
Apostille is issued by a state (federation subject in a federal country) institution (office of land, canton), state officer (e.g. a consular officer), officer, also, individual person (e.g. notary). A fee is paid for issuance of apostille. Certificate is issued on the request of a signed person or person owning the document. In Lithuania - Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Consular Department), consular institutions and diplomatic missions under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.

7. When translation agency seal is sufficient and when do I need a notary seal?
All translations performed in our agency are certified with translation agency seal. This service does not cost additionally. Frequently institutions require notary seal for documents being provided to them. The Association of Lithuanian Translation Companies provides the list of institutions accepting documents with translation agency seal and those requiring notary seal:
